By the way, to access CVS see the instructions on the cygwin page but use /cvs/XOpenWin instead of /cvs/src
or read my simpler ones here:

export CVSROOT=:pserver:anoncvs@sources.redhat.com:/cvs/XOpenWin
cvs login
Logging in to :pserver:anoncvs@sources.redhat.com:2401/cvs/XOpenWin
CVS password:
Enter anoncvs as the CVS password.

Then you go:
cvs checkout dlls
or if you want the web page:
cvs checkout htdocs

To get CVS write access, you need to fill out a form linked to from the home page of sources.redhat.com
