Hi there,

Thanks Cary for the tip.  I disabled "Show window contests while 
dragging" in Windows XP Display Properties and it worked, I mean 
now it only updates once and when the mouse button is released.

Personally I prefer to have that option set, but I guess I can live 
without that until the problem be addressed in another way.

PS.  The Windows registry entry for that is:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"DragFullWindows"="0"
