crosstool-NG is not yet ready to build gcc-4.4.0. I did not even try
it myself.

All that is needed to support building gcc-4.4.0 is not yet integrated.
Support for PPL should be already OK, but support CLoog is still missing.
Then, we may (will?) have to tweak the gcc build procedures to reflect
the changes in gcc-4.4.0.
