Has anyone updated Bill's script http://crossgcc.billgatliff.com/build-crossgcc.sh to modern versions of the tools, e.g. gcc3.2.3?
I may be headed down that road. I'm really looking forward to ditching gcc2.95 for good.
Is it the use of C++, or a problematic target, that tips the balance in favour of updating?
We use C++, so we *need* gcc3.x. Until now, we've been using 2.95 to compile the ppc kernel, and 3.0.2 to compile the sh4 kernel and our C++ apps. Sure would be nice to have just one compiler, and gcc3.2.3 sounds like it's matured enough to handle both kernel and c++ apps.
Plus, it's nice to be able to use attributes on function pointers :-) - Dan
