OK.  I've attached the $d patch I checked in, and an interdiff to the
previous version which has .iword support.  I don't have any particular
feelings on .iword, or need for it, so I'm afraid this is as far as I
go until I have another rash of free time - it should be easy, though,
once someone makes a call on what pseudos to use, as you'll see from
the attachment :-)
