Support for precompiled C++ headers

Subject: Support for precompiled C++ headers

Are there short-term plans to facilitate the generation and use
of GCC's precompiled headers?

Can anyone point me to a C++ project that is working with
precompiled headers and that is doing it with the currently
available versions of automake and autoconf?
