I still get an error: configure.in:11: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_PROG_LIBTOOL with autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.57. Moreover the macro is not listed in the info file...

How did you bootstrap? Did you run aclocal first?



yes I ran aclocal first, but with the version provided by automake 1.7.2 it does not generate a anything for AC_PROG_LIBTOOL and autoconf complains...
