For one project I just upgraded from automake 1.4-p5 to automake 1.5.
Only change so far was to remove a workaround for an old automake bug
(discussed earlier) in some Makefile.am's.
Now things do work fine, except that 'make distcheck' produces
an error:
Error: files left after distclean
The vast majority of them are .la files created by
libtool 1.3.5!
Is this a bug in automake, or libtool or is libtoo 1.4
required? (which I can't use, but that's another topic)
BTW, please CC: to me, I'm not subscribed to this list.
