The installer uses a Newt text-based user interface, familiar to users of the Red Hat's Anaconda installer. The first screen at start-up displays a product name and version, and the platform in use: (these are all values which are read from the metadata from the payload)
If a relocatable installer is used, the second screen then prompts for the installation directory:
If any optional packages are used, the next screen allows the user to choose which groups of packages should be installed:
Finally, the packages are installed; during installation a progress bar is displayed, along with the %description of each package as it is installed:
